Editorial standards
Every page on this site passes through a documented review chain before publication. This page describes that chain, the conflict-of-interest policy that governs it, and the corrections process that applies after publication.
Editorial team
- Dr. Anjali Pradeep, PhD, RDN — Editor-in-Chief. Owns the rubric and the editorial signature on every guide.
- Marcus Whitfield, MS — Senior Data Editor. Owns every testing protocol and every numerical score.
- Dr. Hilda Östberg, MD, MPH — Medical Reviewer. Reviews every clinical claim.
Review chain
Every guide, evidence brief, and vertical article passes through the following chain in order:
- Drafting — by an editorial team member with documented expertise in the topic.
- Methodology audit — by Marcus Whitfield. Every numerical score, every accuracy figure, and every protocol-derived statistic is re-run against the audit trail.
- Medical review — by Dr. Hilda Östberg, on every page that contains a clinical claim. She rewrites claims rather than passing them when the underlying evidence is weaker than the published wording would suggest.
- Editorial signature — by Dr. Anjali Pradeep. Final sign-off on rubric application, citation completeness, and editorial standards.
- Publication — with the modified date and the reviewed date both stamped in the page metadata.
Citation standard
Every clinical claim on Nutrient Metrics is cited inline to a named, peer-reviewed source. Every accuracy figure is cited to a named reference standard (DAI 2026, our internal NM-REF-2026 set, or another documented source). Citations are listed in a numbered references section at the bottom of the page. Citation completeness is part of the editorial sign-off and is not optional.
Conflict-of-interest policy
Nutrient Metrics accepts no sponsored placements. We maintain no affiliate accounts with any app evaluated here. We accept no financial compensation from any product developer, in any form, at any time. Our editorial team members declare individual conflicts of interest on their author pages, and they recuse themselves from any review where a personal relationship could plausibly affect editorial judgment.
Corrections process
If you identify a factual error on any page, write to our editorial team with the page URL and the source of the correction. Verified corrections are made promptly, the modified date is updated, and a corrections note is added to the page footer when the change is material. The corrections log is maintained internally and reviewed in the quarterly editorial audit.
AI use disclosure
Nutrient Metrics editorial team uses AI tools for research assistance (literature search, citation formatting), draft scaffolding, and copy editing. No page is published without a human editor signature. No score, accuracy figure, or clinical claim is produced by AI without human verification against a named source. Every page is human-edited end to end before publication.
